PRESSING MUGS IN A MUG PRESS

1.  FOR A 11 OZ MUG, MAKE TRANSFER NO LARGER THEN 3"H x 7"W.  THIS WILL GIVE YOU A TRANSFER ON ALL SIDES OF MUG.  PUTTING ONLY 2 TRANSFER TO A PAGE, MAKE HAIRLINE OUTLINE MEASURING 9 1/2" x 3 5/8"  LARGER THEN DESIGN FOR CENTERING AND ALIGNMENT ON MUG.   CUT ON INSIDE OF THIS LINE.

2.  USING THERMAL HEAT RESISTANT TAPE, TAPE TRANSFER FACE DOWN ON MUG.

3.  WRAP MUG AND TRANSFER WITH EITHER A PLAIN PIECE OF PAPER OR PIECE OF TEFLON.  PRESS AT 400 DEGREES FOR 5 MINUTES USING HEAVY PRESSURE ON THE ORG 2 MUG PRESS.

4.  REMOVE MUG FROM PRESS.  IMMERSE MUG IN WATER AND ALLOW TO COOL.  WHEN COMPLETELY COOL, REMOVE FROM WATER. 

5.  HAND WASH MUG AND DRY WITH A SOFT CLOTH.

PRESSING TIMES MAY VERY SLIGHTLY.  ADJUST  ACCORDING TO YOU OWN PRESS.  CHECK WITH EACH MANUFACTURE FOR PRESSING INSTRUCTIONS.

NOTE:  FOR LONGER LASTING MUGS DO NOT EXPOSE MUGS TO DIRECT SUNLIGHT AND HAND WASH MUGS FOR BEST RESULTS.

PRESSING MUGS USING A MUG WRAP

1.  PRE HEAT OVEN TO 400 DEGREES.  WHILE OVEN IS PREHEATING, PREPARE MUGS, IMAGES, AND WRAPS.  IMAGES MUST BE NO MORE THEN 3 13/16" X 8 7/8" FOR 11 OZ MUGS AND 4 1/2" x 9" ON A 15 OZ. MUG.  

2.  TAPE TRANSFER TO THE MUG USING HEAT TAPE.

3.  PLACE A PIECE OF PLAIN PAPER DOWN ON THE INSIDE OF THE WRAP (TO SOAK UP THE EXTRA SUBLIMATION-).  PLACE THE WRAP AROUND THE MUG INSERTING CATCH BLOCK THROUGH THE HANDLE OF THE MUG.  ENGAGE CATCH BLOCK WITH CATCH BAR.  ALIGN WRAP TO BE EVEN WITH THE TOP, BOTTOM AND THE HANDLE OF THE MUG.  ADJUST TENSION BOLT UNTIL SNUG.

4.   PLACE UP SIDE DOWN ON CENTER RACK OF OVEN.  ALLOW AIR SPACE BETWEEN MUGS AND OVEN WALLS OF 2".   MUGS SHOULD BE EVENLY SPACED AND NOT TOUCHING.

5.  BAKE FOR 15 MINUTES.  BAKING TIMES WILL VARY DEPENDING ON OVEN AND NUMBER OF MUGS BEING BAKED.   IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT GETTING THE MONITOR TO CHECK THE TEMPERATURE IN THE OVEN.  

6.  WHILE MUGS ARE BAKING, FILL SINK OR LARGE CONTAINER WITH COOL WATER.  WATER SHOULD BE DEEP ENOUGH TO FULLY SUBMERGE MUGS.

7.  USING OVEN MITT, CAREFULLY REMOVE WRAPPED MUGS FROM OVEN AND IMMEDIATELY REMOVE WRAP AND TRANSFER.  

8.  IMMERSE MUG IN WATER AND ALLOW TO COOL.  WHEN COMPLETELY COOL, REMOVE FROM WATER. 

9.  HAND WASH MUG AND DRY WITH A SOFT CLOTH.
