How To Remove / Unistall Previous Inks

  1. Switch on the printer
  2. Remove all the ink cartridges
  3. Close the compartment door
  4. Switch off the printer
  5. Wait until the printer stops flashing and making a noise this can take up to 5 mins Removal of old ink is now complete.

If you have previously had other sublimation inks installed in your Epson 3000 we recommend you flush your system before using our inks. To flush your machine with cleaning solution we will loan you a set of cartridges with the cleaning solution in them you simply install them as if you are loading up a set of ink cartridges. We ask you to do this on the Epson 3000 because the printer is not like the 900 or the 850s which only have inks in the print heads this printer has pipes from the cartridges to the print head and we want to ensure that all previous ink is removed so you can enjoy the qualities of our JetBlaster system.

Epson 900
  1. Open the lid
  2. Press and hold the paper feed button for 5 seconds then release
  3. The carriage will move over to the left and stop to allow you to remove the black cartridge
  4. Take out the cartridge then lower the flap back into position
  5. Press and hold the paper feed button again for 5 seconds release and this will move the carriage across to let you remove the color cartridge
  6. Remove the color cartridge then lower the flap back into position
  7. Press the paper feed button again this will then make the printer do a clean which will evacuate the remaining ink out of the print head
  8. This procedure is generally used if you are going to leave the printer unused for long periods of time, it leaves the print heads with no ink in them so they cannot dry up.
